LIMITED GOVERNMENT

THE GREATEST THREAT TO FREEDOM IS UNCHECKED POWER.

Government exists to protect life, liberty, and property—not to control every aspect of our lives. Freedom survives only when power is limited, divided, and held accountable.

POWER DOES NOT IMPROVE CHARACTER.

It reveals it.

NO person is perfect.

NO institution is perfect.

Power does not change human nature.

It magnifies it.

That is why free societies do not wait for power to become dangerous before placing limits on it.

They limit power before they need to.

LIMITS ON POWER ARE NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS.

THEY ARE THE FOUNDATION OF FREEDOM.

WHO DECIDES HOW MUCH POWER IS ENOUGH?

The Future

EVERY GENERATION MUST CHOOSE: WILL POWER SERVE THE PEOPLE — OR THE PEOPLE SERVE POWER?

WHAT DOES

LIMITED GOVERNMENT

LOOK LIKE

Limited government is not about doing less for the sake of doing less. It is about doing only what is necessary — and doing it well.

01

PROTECT RIGHTS

Government exists to secure life, liberty, and property — not to create rights.

02

UPHOLD THE RULE OF LAW

The same laws should apply to every citizen — and every public official. No one is above the law.

03

DEFEND THE NATION

Protect citizens from external threats while preserving their freedoms at home.

04

REMAIN ACCOUNTABLE

Power belongs to the people. Government exercises only the authority they choose to delegate.

FREEDOM THRIVES WHEN POWER IS LIMITED, TRANSPARENT, AND ACCOUNTABLE.

FREEDOM IS NEVER MORE THAN A GENERATION FROM DISAPPEARING.

EVERY GENERATION MUST DECIDE WHETHER IT WILL PRESERVE LIBERTY — OR SURRENDER IT TO THOSE WHO PROMISE MORE POWER.

Why I Defend Limited Government 1

WHY POWER MUST BE RESTRAINED

Freedom survives because power is limited.

Not because those who hold it are wiser.

Every generation is promised that surrendering a little more liberty will bring greater security.

History has never kept that promise.

Free societies are built on a different idea:

No institution should ever possess more power than the people who created it.

Government exists to protect liberty— never to become its master.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN POWER HAS NO LIMITS?

When power grows without restraint, freedom is gradually replaced by control.
